Is this the ultimate Ramadan staycation in Dubai?

Beach, spa, Iftar, repeat.

One of the perks of living in Dubai is that you don’t have to venture far to find the ultimate retreat to relax and unwind during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

There are countless hotels to choose from, but it’s hard to compete with the elegance of the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach. The beachfront property has views of the calming waters of the Arabian Gulf, is home to one of the most fabulous spa’s we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing, offers countless dining options and the service is flawless.

Do not disturb

You will be spoilt to some of the largest rooms in Dubai, each with a spacious balcony and views of either the water or towards the glittering skyline. The bathroom comes with an egg-shaped stand alone tub you’d happily spend hours in and it’s stocked with Rajasthan by Etro toiletries. There’s also plenty of storage and a plush seating area.

The housekeeping staff are on hand for anything you might’ve forgotten to pack (toothpaste in our case) and there’s an iPad Mini in the room displaying the resort services. It’s hard to compete with a Four Seasons bed so a good night sleep is guaranteed, but we would recommend skipping the mini bar treats and make the most of the impressive dining options just a few steps away.

Food, glorious food

Family friendly market-style restaurant Suq serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as an impressive Iftar during the month of Ramadan. If you love seafood then book into the beachfront restaurant Sea Fu where they also serve shisha.

Further outlets are dotted throughout the property including the Shai Salon where you can enjoy a very fashionable afternoon tea. The restaurant village adjacent to the hotel contains of few more dining options including a spectacular Italian restaurant Scalini (tried and tested) as well as Salt Bae’s steakhouse.

Resting beach face

Work on your tan at one of the two pool area or the beach. The service is attentive with regular delights arriving at your sun beds like sorbet’s or blueberry muffins. The sand on the beach itself is super soft and you can swim out to the floating deck to marvel at the impressive views of the hotel.

The Pearl Spa has a spectacular indoor pool (the one you always see on Instagram) 10 treatment rooms, as well as a steam and sauna room, rain shower spots, a heated whirlpool and an ice fountain for when it really heats up in the summer.

As the space was inspired by UAE’s pearl trade, we suggest booking in for a 90-minute Dr. Burgener Signature Pearl Facial. The treatment begins with a dual-action pearl extract exfoliation using AHA and red algae, followed by a 3D mask which stimulates collagen synthesis. This is followed by a marine pearl serum releasing hyaluronic acid, one of the most active anti-ageing ingredients. Glowing skin guaranteed. If you’re looking for something a little more active, the hotel has a modern and very well equipped gym next to the spa.
